Notice Of Election

  1. An election is to be held for one seat for the Fulbrook Parish Council.

  2. Nomination Papers may be obtained from the office of the Returning Officer, Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, Oxon, OX28 1NB on Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. They may alternatively be obtained from the Clerk of the Parish Council.

  3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the (Deputy) Returning Officer, at the Electoral Services Office, West Oxfordshire District Council, Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, Oxon, OX28 1NB on any day from the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and not later than 4pm on Friday 26 January 2024.

  4. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 22 February 2024.

  5. Applications to register to vote must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer by no later than 12 midnight on Tuesday 6 February 2024 if they are to be effective for Thursday 22 February 2024. Applications can be made online:
    www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

  6. Applications to vote by post, and to amend or cancel existing postal or proxy voting arrangements, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 7 February 2024, if they are to be effective for this election. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote.

  7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 14 February 2024. Applications can be made online 
    at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote.

  8. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 14 February 2024. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

  9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity, or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 22 February 2024. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 14 February 2024. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling
    station in person after 5pm on Wednesday 14 February 2024.

  10. All applications and notices regarding absent voting must be sent to the Electoral Registration Officer at the Electoral Services Office, West Oxfordshire District Council, Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, Oxon, OX28 1NB. Application forms for postal and proxy voting are available from that address.
