The Church of St. James the Great

A Norman church, showing traces of earlier Saxon work. The north aisle was added about 1200 and the porch in the late 13th century. There is a fine English Yew tree in the churchyard with a girth of over 19 feet which has been professionally estimated to be nearly 1000 years old.
